Hi!

 

It’s that time of year again, when we at AC request donations for our now legendary Halloween raffle!

If you would like to support us with a donation, we’ll give you some great free advertising and exposure for your shop, business, label or band.

 

This year AC's Halloween Party is on Friday 26th of October, and it’s our biggest event of the year! Everyone who buys a ticket to the event will get one free raffle entry (we make no money from it).

Previous prizes have included club tickets, clothing gift vouchers, an oil painting, silver nipple clamps, books, Absinthe, CDs, Vinyl, saucy dressing up outfits, a rubber boa, leather collar, hair falls and lots more.

We at AC are personally donating a year's free entry to AC, t.shirts and a bottle of bubbly :-)

Physical prizes are preferred, as often the paper vouchers get overlooked at the event. We've tried sticking them to the wall and pointing them out, but we've found that most people like to pick up a prize and take it there and then.

 


We'll list all the donations along with text/pics and links from you on our website and in our regular newsletters which go out to over 5000 subscribers. AC websites receive over 1million visits per month, and we'll also post on Facebook and Twitter as donations are confirmed.

If you can confirm your prize donation within 7 days, you will also go on the AC flyer. We deliver around 20,000 flyers for the Halloween Party. These will be handed out at the August AC, as well as at all of the alternative and fetish shops, clubs, gigs and events running up to Halloween. We also place 2000 in HJ Media Baddie bags so make a donation and you can be assured of some SERIOUS exposure!

 

But that's not all - we'll also offer you a 468 x 60px banner in a premium Ad space on http://thealterium.com  with 50,000 impressions totally FREE OR we'll match any paid advertising order you make with us. For example take 250,000 impressions for only £50 and we'll double it to 500,000!

 

Please note if you offer us any prize for our raffle there is absolutely no obligation to take any advertising.

As a final addition, everyone who donates any prize with an RRP over £60 will be offered 2 guestlist places joining 1200+ People to the Halloween Party (also legendary).

Can't say fairer than that!

 

If you'd like to make a donation for our Halloween Raffle all we need from you is:

·         A link to and/or image(s) of your prize(s)

·         Banner for your free 50,000 impressions Ad: They must be 468 x 60px

·         The URL you want to link your banner to

·         A tagline of your text for the AC website

·         The prize itself! Delivered to AC Promotions, 66 High Street, Princes Risborough, Bucks, HP27 0AX

DEADLINE:

Thursday 16th August is the last date to get your donation included in the Halloween flyer. We will need all the information listed above on or before this date.

You may still donate after this time, in which case your item/s will be listed on the website and in newsletters and social media, but not on the flyer.

Wednesday 24th October is the deadline for receiving your donations, please post them in good time!

Woohoo! AC is less than a week away, and I have just ordered red and black balloons, plates, napkins and bunting :)

Our poor postman has a new hernia thanks to all the deliveries he's been making to AC-HQ this week, we've got SO MUCH STUFF to put in the partybags, I'm actually quite miffed that I don't get one!

We'll also have a box for any unwanted partybag gifts (items that are the wrong size or not to your taste/inclination). So if you get given a bag and don't want some of the swag, pop it in the box for other AC-ers to rootle through :)

Ticket sales for this event have been ASTOUNDING! June has never been a super busy event, but it looks like this one will be jam-packed, with over a thousand people. A THOUSAND PEOPLE!

So, we called the venue, lovely people that they are, and arranged a way of making it not so jam packed. No one likes it when it's too heaving to move.....................


So, we've added the extra floor! June 29th is now a 10 ZONE AC! Complete with rock 'n' metal after the theatre, and both PFI and Hellfire on all night. Can I get a 'HELL YEAH'?!


All earlybird tickets are now sold out too, but we do have single advanced tickets at £23 available.

I have begun processing tickets, so if you have bought yours already, expect to hear from me in the next few days. The first batch are due to be posted out on Friday the 8th, and the second batch next week.

 

If you're interested in the behind-the-scenes running of AC, picture this...

I sit at my PC with my headphones on, this evening aided by Mr Marilyn Manson (eep, going to see him at Brixton in July!)

I go through 2Checkout, making a note of all the main details of each sale, those for collection go on the door list, those to be posted are packaged up.

I write out the address label, stick on the signed-for sticker and lick the envelope myself (oh for a prim little secretary...) adding in any flyers we have for other interesting events.

Once they're all done, I take the lot down to the post office and stand there looking guilty, while the poor woman sticks stamps and labels on all 300 black envelopes and the queue behind me grows...

That's it! Almost my least favourite AC job done (but I console myself with the knowledge that at least it's not accounts time, not yet.)

We have just had our dates for 2013's ACs confirmed by the venue, and we are thrilled to announce that we've squeezed in an extra one! The wait this year between March's AC and June's Birthday event was just too long for us, I'm missing my AC fix :) So without further ado, here they are:

22nd February

26th April - NEW DATE!

28th June - 9th Birthday Party

30th August

1st November - Halloween Party

27th December - Not NYE Party (date TBC)

 

We also have something special planned for our August event, but you'll have to wait a little longer to find out what.

We'd love to hear your feedback on the December date too... is it too close to Christmas? Would you prefer to party on Monday 30th instead?

 

Hopefully by announcing these dates nice and early, you'll be able to plan work, babysitters, flights/trains and hotels in plenty of time, perhaps getting some nice discounts too.

Details of acts, bands and themes will go up as and when we have them HERE
